St. James Granite and Metal Table
One of the most eye-opening activities an American can do abroad is scoping out the various palaces and castles. The United Kingdom is dotted with them, both in the cities and in the countryside, and they are as inspiring and invigorating as an afternoon at an art museum. Case in point: A jaunt through St. James's Palace in Westminster is steeped in history.
Once the residence of the monarch, it's still a working palace, hosting receptions and meetings with aplomb. It's as sturdy as a fortress but with artful flourishes that any Anglophile would adore, and it inspired our St. James Metal Stool. It looks light as air, with its open metal frame, but it's as sturdy as they come. With its solid granite top (in black or white stone), it can even double as a stool.
