Some of the main Indian String Instruments are Sitar (used for 700 years), Tanpura (Made of wood and combined with a gourd), Sarangi (Carved from a single piece of wood) and many more. This beautiful piece is a representation of a Sarangi. The Sarangi became very popular during the 18th and 19th centuries. It consists of a truncated body and the sound board is made of goat skin. You will love to show case this beauty in your living room or entryway.
