St.Giles Metal Stool
So much of what was built centuries ago was really made to last. I can't resist popping into an old church or cathedral whenever I'm traipsing through a city on foot, and the St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburg richly rewarded this habit with medieval architecture and memorials to notable Scots. (There are many) It's still in use to this day--still has an active congregation, in fact--which attests to its longevity.
I'll say the same thing about the St. Giles Metal Table, where strips of black or gold metal overlap to form the base, imparting substance and strength without compromising its breeziness. The white granite top lets it stand in as a side table, perfect for setting drinks or plates without marring the finish.
