The original Chippendale style chair is named for master London cabinet maker Thomas Chippendale. In the 1700s, this chair originally featured a top railing with a yoke shape, cabriole legs, and shell motifs. Mr. Chippendale was inspired by the shape of the Chinese Pagoda when creating the Chinese Chippendale Armchair, hence its geometric frame. Our Chinese Chippendale Armchair features a faux bamboo frame in a sleek modern finish. It is made of wood and rattan, and it comes with a comfortable cushion.

Wisteria products are primarily handmade at small artisanal facilities in a traditional manner, in small batch quantities, or often as an individually made-to-order item if it is a part of our custom or bespoke program. Naturally - this means products may have variations between two items that may have been made in a separate batch or at a different time. Additionally, minor imperfections are part of the patina for these products.
