Hoa Mai Lamp
I just happened to be in Vietnam one year for Tet, which is the mark of the new year. I was stunned not just by the jubilation (I expect that on such a holiday) but also by the flowers. The Hoa Mai, or yellow apricot flower, is the favorite for Tet decorating, partly because it's in bloom at the time and partly for its sunny yellow blossoms.
Yellow in particular symbolizes good luck--which makes it a clear choice for the urn-shape base of our Hoa Mai Lamp. Don't draw back from the zesty color: It's actually one of the most adaptable around.
Dimensions: 19 x 19 x 33 in inches. Imported. Handling Fee is $30.
