Lotus Pods Stool
A gardener friend of mine once said that fall and winter gardens can be just as intriguing the same plots in spring and summer, but you have to put in plants that are still interesting after the flowers fall and the foliage fades. I didn't know what he meant until I did a garden tour of China, a nation that highly reveres the lotus flower.
Once the flowers are spent, the seeds are revealed. What could be just another flower past its prime is actually a seed pod prized for its round, flat surface pocked with dried seeds. So, too, does our Lotus Pods Stool flout conventional beauty. Painted to look like shards and cracks, the stool has a cheeky but somehow modern mood about it--a little like mosaic tiles but with more chutzpah. In classic black and white, it could easily complement many décor styles.
Dimensions: 18 x 15 x 17 in inches. Imported. Handling Fee is $20.
