The Dietrich Dresser is easily pegged into a stylistic corner, but it may be hasty to do so as it can point to definitive style cues taken from Bavarian, American, British and French historical styles. What we would call it is traditional, and the story it tells can be imagined by you. You might see it as a late 18th century American design that has a slightly more contemporary flair.
Even then, much of what was used in American styling of furniture in that time frame was derived from the British or French designs that were popular Post Queen Anne and Louis XIV and therefore were already in transition from a stylistic perspective. Whichever heritage you assign to the Dietrich Dresser (we are partial to the Germanic industrial woodworking roots), you can rest assured it is a practical, small footprint dresser that is built to last a lifetime.
