Eguisheim Dining Table
The bed and breakfast where James and I stayed in Provence served delectable meals (I am still swooning over the pain au chocolat), but a close second was the round pedestal table where our hosts piled all of the food. It had a thick wooden top, scratched and worn over many years of use, and turned legs connected with a star-shape stretcher.
It had such heft and substance, such beauty and grace, that I marveled over it at every meal. Our own Eguisheim Dining Table has the same lovely attributes and is made of solid wood with a carved apron and light wood finish.
