Powerful Horse Statue
The meaning of the horse statue can be traced back to the middle ages when the Knights and others in command were on horses and the soldiers were on foot. The horse symbolized power and prestige. Today a horse still symbolizes power, but also strength and independence. This large stoneware horse with its semi-glazed, crackle finished head and rustic, naturally distressed base depicts a very strong presence.
While it has an air of masculinity, its white shiny coat gives off a feel of grace and elegance. Standing at 13” tall, this European antiquities statue would look great on the corner of a desk in a study, a bookshelf in a den, or on display in a classically decorated living room.
Dimensions: 9.5 x 6 x 13 in inches. Material: Ceramic. Finish: Distressed White. Imported.
