When Gabe and I are in a new city, we have been known to stop at garage sales if we happen to be passing through a nice neighborhood. I’m always astonished at how so many vintage items have come back in style, especially those from the midcentury years. Case in point: At an estate sale in Austin, we marveled at the low-slung furniture and knickknacks on the bookshelves, but a pendant in the breakfast room stopped me in my tracks. Wood slats bent around a drum shade, and it was both totally retro and utterly fresh.
Here I introduce our Clarksville Pendant, a burlap diffuser with softly curved wood slats in a polished fruitwood finish. It sends out diffused light, so it’s ideal for an eating area or other small room that needs ambiance.
Dimensions: 28 x 28 x 23 in inches. Finish: Old Iron & Polished Fruitwood. Materials: Iron & Wood. Imported. Handling Fee is $20.
