As long as I can remember, I have been enchanted with storytelling and history. As a kid in Connecticut, I poured over books describing ancient lands and mythology, from the pyramids of Egypt to Homer’s Odyssey.

One of my fondest memories is going to art and natural history museums with my family.

I would imagine what it must have been like to live during the time Monet painted his Impressionist works and marveled at the history of artifacts behind the museum glass. Usually, these trips ended with begging my dad for items at the museum gift shop. My parents found it hilarious that I was the type of kid who preferred a pencil case printed with Van Gogh’s Starry Night rather than the latest video games or toy.

I have always been drawn to unique items and vintage pieces.

In our homes growing up, my parents always had eclectic style and a great eye for mixing decades and eras of design. On the weekend, my mom and I would go to estate and yard sales, which we called “tag sales” in New England, hunting for antique furniture and glassware. That’s where my love for vintage, handcrafted, and unique pieces began. I love to travel, and I always take this curiosity on the road with me! On my adventures, I never pass up a good market, bazaar, street fair, yard sale, or thrift shop to peruse for fun and unique items that have rich narratives and pasts of their own

Our family moved to San Francisco when I was 12 years old, and the city captured my heart and curiosity.

I made friends from around the world and I loved learning about different cultures and experiencing all the unique beauty of the city’s diversity. As a teen, my friends and I would wander through the Mission, Chinatown, North Beach, and the Haight shopping, eating the best food, and adventuring.

These days, you can find me in the northern most part of California hunting for antiques in the old mill and mining towns and parts of the Gold Country that have stood the test of time.
