Blue and white is one of the most enduring color combinations in interior design, rooted in centuries of ceramic, textile, and furniture traditions from China, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Scandinavia. It works in coastal homes and city apartments, in formal dining rooms and casual living spaces. Wisteria's Blue and White Collection brings this palette together across porcelain, upholstered furniture, accent tables, bedding, decorative pillows, lighting, and finishing accents.
Ginger jars, temple jars, tea caddies, blossom vases, and cylindrical jars in traditional blue-and-white painted designs. These pieces anchor bookshelves, mantels, and console tables with pattern and history. Available in a range of sizes from small tabletop accents to large statement pieces, with gold-edged and classic motif options that coordinate across the collection.
The collection includes upholstered and painted furniture pieces that carry the blue-and-white palette into seating, storage, and dining.
Upholstered Chairs: Tub chairs, wingback chairs, accent chairs, and side chairs in blue and white fabrics. Frame materials include painted wood, natural oak, carved details, and bamboo-look finishes. Styles range from Gustavian and French provincial to more contemporary slipcovered forms.
Accent Tables and Storage: Whitewashed and painted side tables, pedestal tables, small chests, and a marble-top accent table. A Gustavian buffet brings the palette into larger storage pieces suited to dining rooms and living spaces.
Dining: A faceted marble dining table and coordinating side chairs bring the palette to the dining room. Chippendale-style bamboo-look chairs offer a more decorative option for formal or eclectic settings.
Bed sheet sets and duvet covers in blue-toned patterns bring the palette into the bedroom. Decorative hooked pillows featuring chinoiserie motifs, floral scenes, topiary designs, and scenic compositions add color and pattern to sofas, armchairs, and bed arrangements throughout the home. These textile pieces are among the easiest entry points into the blue-and-white palette.
Chinoiserie-style table lamps with hand-painted porcelain bases carry the blue-and-white theme into ambient lighting on nightstands, consoles, and side tables. Faux topiaries and floral arrangements provide the finishing touches that tie rooms together. These smaller accent pieces complete the palette without requiring a significant furniture commitment.
Chinoiserie: Hand-painted porcelain and decorative pieces inspired by Chinese art. Landscape scenes, botanical motifs, and mythological figures on white grounds. The largest thread in the collection.
Gustavian: Pale blue upholstery and whitewashed wood frames referencing Scandinavian neoclassical design. A lighter, more restrained interpretation of the palette.
French Provincial: Carved wood chairs in blue linen with Louis XV and Louis XVI silhouettes. Formal but approachable.
Modern: Cleaner lines, slipcovered seating, solid fabrics, and marble accents for a more contemporary expression of the palette.
Wisteria has spent more than two decades curating globally inspired home furnishings with lasting appeal. The Blue and White Collection reflects that experience: hand-painted porcelain from artisan workshops, furniture crafted with traditional joinery, and textiles sourced for quality and visual character. Every piece is selected to layer into a well-designed home and hold up over time.
