Janice Coffee Table
My mother-in-law, Janice, is an accomplished seamstress, and she is constantly making her own clothes or curtains or what-have-you to her exacting specifications. The last time she had us over for dinner, she showed us her latest project: a skirted table that will go in the entryway. The fabric overlapped in front, like a lush curtain, and I exclaimed over the fringed hem, which called attention to how the fabric swagged. I filed it away in my head and dreamt up a wooden version, our Janice Console, that foregoes the fabric and instead swoops with bands of steam-bent, reclaimed fir. My MIL is an inspiration. Dimensions: 51 x 18 x 33 in inches. Imported. Handling Fee is $100.
